Enhancing Visual Communication at Kent Street Community Church
Ensuring clear visibility for the Kent Street Community Church congregation – regardless of where they sat.
The church required new TVs and wanted their existing TV moved to replace an outdated projector.
They also wanted the altar TV to display a different display from the others.
Objective:
The church sought a new, large 80″ TV to ensure clear visibility for the entire congregation, regardless of where they were seated. Additionally, they needed their existing 80″ TV relocated to replace an outdated projector and screen. They wanted the altar TV to display a different input than the other 80″ TVs, showing content from a separate PC/Laptop.
Solution:
Technical Display Systems spent time with the client looking around the church to provide them with a comprehensive solution to meet these requirements. We supplied our client with an 80” LG 4K TV, Industrial wall mounting brackets, and a Kramer HDMI Matrix control unit to facilitate different images on the various TVs or the same input.
Installation:
Due to the activities and services within the church throughout the week, we had to coordinate our installation when the church wasn’t occupied. As the distance from the TV to the audio-visual desk is too far away to run HDMI cables, we installed Cat6 cables from each TV back to the audio-visual control desk at the rear of the church. We then connected HDMI send/receivers to ensure the picture was as clear and sharp as possible.
Audio Integration:
At the client’s request, we connected the audio outputs to the church’s mixing desk, which made swapping audio sources as easy as possible.
Training:
We provided complete instructions on operating the entire system, ensuring the end-user was comfortable selecting different inputs on each TV.
Execution:
The installation took two days. Working when it was convenient for the client to minimise disruption, our team ensured seamless integration and functionality.
Outcome:
Our client was extremely satisfied with the entire process and the results. The new setup allows them to confidently switch between different inputs on each TV, enhancing their ability to engage with the congregation effectively. The church can now display content with outstanding clarity and flexibility, ensuring a superior experience for all attendees.
